We are really excited to be offering art classes for kids on SYP at Warooka, starting in Term 4 2020.

An after-school program and a holiday program have been developed to give our young people a range of options.

We love art and are looking forward to working with your young artists to help them create masterpieces you can treasure.

Our sessions will be based at ‘Art Shed’ at the fantastic Ballara Art & Lifestyle Retreat, which happens to be in the perfect location straight across from Warooka School.

School Holiday Program

Print Making

Monday 28th September,10am – 11.30am

Location: The ‘Art Shed’ at Ballara Art & Lifestyle Retreat, Warooka

Description: Participants will have fun designing an image to print. We will experiment with different ways to transfer to the design onto the printing block.

Using a variety of tools and materials we will then carve and/or impress the design, fine tuning it until we are ready to print the final design onto paper, card and fabric to take home.

Tie Die & Rainbow Colours

Monday 28th September, 12.30 – 2pm

Location: The ‘Art Shed’ at Ballara Art & Lifestyle Retreat, Warooka

Description: Who doesn’t love the bold colours and fun of creating unique patterns with the art of tie dye?!

Each participant will get a t-shirt and a tote bag to work their magic on, deciding on their colour scheme and setting to work on creating their chosen design and pattern.

While we are waiting for the colours to set and in any down time, we will experiment with various painting projects.
