In this silver-smithing workshop you will be going home with unique piece of sterling silver jewellery that you have hand crafted yourself.
In the morning part of the session, silver-smith Jasmine will guide you to create your very own sterling silver ring.
Once you’ve mastered the skills involved in simple ring making, you will use more advanced silver-smithing techniques in the afternoon to set a piece of seaglass or other cabochon in sterling silver before adding to your ring and completing the final buff and polish.
Silversmithing techniques learnt in this session include hand piercing, soldering, forming, bezel setting, burnishing and polishing.
This all day session includes a delicious lunch. Please advise of any dietary requirements on completing your booking.
All materials are provided, including the sterling silver required for your project and a take-home worksheet. A selection of seaglass and other cabochons will be provided for you to choose from or bring your own special piece to set.
Please tie long hair back, wear closed shoes and bring your reading glasses if you need them.
This workshop runs from 10am-6pm and includes a delicious lunch. Please advise dietary requirements.
